This instrument is designed to verify the authenticity of diamonds based on their thermal properties. It operates using either 3 AAA alkaline batteries (PDMT-A) or an included rechargeable battery with AC adaptor (PDMT-C).

Thin probe tip (0.6mm) that is capable of testing diamonds as small as 0.02ct.

Metal alert buzzer indicates probe tip contact with the gemstone during testing.
